The Rowan Chamber of Commerce and the City of Salisbury recently presented six small business grants to help encourage and support local businesses.

“The Rowan Chamber is pleased to partner together with the City of Salisbury on this small business grant program and congratulate the winners,” said Chamber President, Elaine Spalding.

The City of Salisbury allocated $30,000 for this pilot program in its FY2023-24 budget. A total of 37 grant applications were received. Applicants were required to be located within the city limits  and have proper documentation along with a viable business plan. After completing a rubric on each qualified applicant, the Chamber’s small business grant task force selected six grant recipients to each receive $5,000.
